This platform is an educational pilot operated by Voices of History Foundation. This policy explains what we collect while you take the course and how we handle it. It is written for a limited pilot and may change as the product develops.
What we collect
- Account details you provide: your name and email address.
- Your coursework: the text and audio of your conversations with the lesson instructors, and your quiz answers and scores.
- Basic usage information needed to run the service.
How we use it
We use this information to deliver the lessons, to let the educator for your cohort see your progress and conversations, and to improve the course. We do not sell your personal information.
AI processing and service providers
The conversations and quizzes are powered by AI. To provide them, the text and voice audio of your session are processed by our service providers, including OpenAI (conversation and quiz generation), Supabase (accounts and data storage), and Vercel (hosting). Your coursework is visible to the educator and administrators of your cohort.
Retention and your choices
We keep your data for the duration of the pilot. You can request access to or deletion of your data by emailing us. To make a request, or with any question about this policy, contact founders@vohfoundation.com.
Children
This pilot is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
